Overall Position Objective

As Area Sales Manager you will be allocated around Newcastle supporting the North East area within the UK and will be ultimately responsible for building and maintaining strong long-term customer relationships within those areas with the aim to achieve agreed business goals.

Job Role

  • Fully accountable for managing, developing and building both exisiting and new customer base across area for both brands
  • Account management in anaylisysing sales figures, providing reports and offering solutions depending on customers needs
  • Identifying new prospective customers / opportunties
  • Develop strategic plans to achieve agreed objectives and outcomes set within KPI’s
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, providing relevant information, reports and making recommendations to exedite the resolution and to maxmise customer satisfaction
  • Ability to create and adjust content to delivery sales presentations tailored to the audience/customer requirements
  • Implement/review customer specific pricing (Including Price Increases)
  • Prepare, implement, maintain and regularly review agreed business plans to ensure set objectives are being met
  • Participate in development programs as required
  • Participate in employee dialogue/appraisal/review process with line manager
  • Compiling and analysing sales figures / reports (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annually)
  • Provide a weekly/monthly area forecast
  • Providing key market insight including changes in customer requirements, interests, competitor activity, newly launched products, etc
  • To achieve agreed sales budget in all accounts volume, value, margin
  • Plan, execute and evaluate all campaigns
  • Responsibility for organising daily work schedule and administration
  • Responsibility to remain up to date of changes/developments within professional field
  • Ensures required / set deadlines are met
  • Collobrate with wider business to share best practices and support a cohesive sales approach
  • Communicate all marketing and public relations activities to all accounts
  • Support other Area Sales Managers including, new starter training, holiday cover, etc
  • Support the Ireland Sales Director with Northern Ireland sales activities, including customer relationship management, opportunity development, and delivery of agreed commercial objectives within the region.

  • Overnight stays and home office working will be required
  • Full UK driving licence
